Movement & senses
How being bound changes the way you walk, talk and see.
Movement styles — how you walk while bound
Restraints can change how you physically move. There are four built-in styles; when several styled items stack, the most severe wins. Speed and jump effects are server-authoritative and work in multiplayer.
- Waddle — ×0.6 speed, jump allowed; a swaying gait.
- Shuffle — ×0.4 speed, no jump; tiny dragging steps.
- Hop — ×0.35 speed, small automatic hops replace the jump.
- Crawl — ×0.2 speed, on all fours with a swim-like low hitbox.
Gags — muffled chat & comprehension
While gagged, your chat is rewritten into muffled speech — a phonetic, material-aware transform, not a flat asterisk-out. A loose cloth gag leaks through; ball, tape, panel and stuffed gags muffle heavily, each with its own bleed-through and interjections.
- Each word rolls fully through, partially, or fully muffled; longer messages get harder, and sprinting or being airborne degrades clarity further.
- You always see your own real words in grey after the muffled line.
- Long messages can suffocate you (Slowness, a chance of Blindness), and private message commands are blocked while gagged.
Blindfold — the vision overlay
A blindfold draws a full-screen overlay over your view while keeping the hotbar redrawn on top, so you can still hold items. By nature this is a client render effect, drawn locally for the blindfolded player. A hardcore-blindfold client config forces full opacity and keeps the overlay even with a GUI open.
